Respiratory Illness Activity

The Respiratory Illness Activity Dashboard is updated every Wednesday with the latest data on respiratory illness activity in the region. This dashboard presents trends in hospitalizations and syndromic surveillance. Facility Outbreaks can be found in the Outbreak Bulletin.

Well Water Testing

A high percentage of privately owned wells have evidence of bacterial contamination. Consuming water from these wells could result in gastrointestinal disease. This dashboard provides data on the rate of well water testing, and contamination in Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph.

Substance Harm Information & Education Dashboard

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health’s Substance Harm Information & Education Dashboard (SHIELD) allows users to explore the most recent information regarding substance use harms, as well as local substance use patterns through the FAST Overdose Alert System. SHIELD is an interactive tool that provides interested individuals the opportunity to explore information for Wellington, Dufferin and Guelph (WDG) by year, age, and sex.

Some key indicators include:

  • Opioid-related emergency department visits
  • Real-time substance-related harms captured by the FAST Overdose Alert System

Zoonotic Vector-Borne Diseases Dashboard (ZVBD)

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health’s Zoonotic Vector-borne Diseases Dashboard (ZVBD) allows users to explore the surveillance data on diseases transmitted by animals and humans, as well as diseases spread by vectors like mosquitoes and ticks. The ZVBD dashboard also provides users with insights into various local public health interventions aimed at reducing ZVBD diseases in Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph geography.
